GlobalConnect A/S won a government level agreement
When GlobalConnect A/S won the SKI government/public sector tender in Denmark, and the SI one before that, there were many requests that GlobalConnect - and BOSS as the underlying BSS/OSS system - needed to fulfill as part of it.
BOSS already supported most of the features, but also needed to adapt
BOSS supports personalized and government-level agreements and abides to the business, operation and security requirements. As GlobalConnect A/S won a government contract (SKI), BOSS immediately adapted to the necessary requirements.

For one, thousands of new lines needed to be imported in the system. The lines had custom MPLS services, which translated in specific device configurations, already supported by BOSS.
Moreover, as part of the Ready for Service check, BOSS has to do several automatic checks on the devices before delivery can be confirmed. Device has to be reachable in order to verify connectivity. The main line has to be dropped, as part of a test, and it should be verified that the redundant line is turned on within specified time. Finally, the speed is measured on the line in order to verify that it is above a certain limit.
All of these tests need to be made on the line for a successful delivery of a government/public sector SKI orders.
It is worth noting that some of the customers had special prices on contracts and deductions on products, which BOSS already supported with its Price structure per customer or per product.
Finally, as a system that works under government contract, BOSS needs to abide by many security measurements, and pass regular penetration tests and security audits. These include regular source code scanning for vulnerabilities and applying fixes, applying best practices in the development and deployment process and so on.
